This Leyland Mini 850 has had only three registered keepers from new, having been with its original lady owner until 2012. The current owner has had it since 2018, and the odometer is reading 21,135 miles.
Finished in Glacier White with a brown interior, the Mini goes by the nickname "Peewee" thanks to its desirable registration number PWE 8R, which is transferable. We're told that the first owner stopped driving in 2004, and the next owner carried out bodywork repairs and a respray in 2015-2016. In early 2024, the car received a mechanical overhaul at a cost of over £3000, which included new master cylinders, distributor, coolant flush, rebuilt carburettor and new tyres all round. Since then it has been dry stored and only used for a couple of local shows.
The history file contains the original purchase invoice, showing that its first owner lived near Doncaster and bought the car from Armthorpe Motor Company on 1st February 1977, paying £1630. Also present are the car's handbook, spare keys, old-style V5, maintenance receipts (some going back to the 1970s), MoT certificates from 1990-on and a workshop manual. Various service items and other spares come with the car, together with a fitted cover.
